Adelaide Oval South and East Stands
Phase two of the Adelaide Oval redevelopment involved the construction of two new grandstands: the southern stand (14,000 capacity) and the eastern stand (19,000 capacity), which has boosted the total seating capacity to 50,083 plus standing room for 3,500 on the hill. The famous hill has been retained along with the historic scoreboard and the distinctive Moreton Bay figs which were planted in the 1890s.
The $535 million redevelopment delivers a world-class sporting stadium, and was a State Government initiative in late 2009 to bring cricket and football together at an internationally renowned venue for the 21st Century.
This project is one of South Australia's high profile developments and Engineering Surveys is proud to have been part of this impressive build.
